Good morning:
In the past, we have elected to deal with the issue of vacation time by rolling it over into the next year. I think paying a week out is an excellent idea. I think that we should survey find out who all is affected. Get a list and then decide how to deal with the issue.
Thanks
Mary

Hello All,
I find myself in a scheduling dilemma. I have been working for the town long enough so that my benefit of vacation time is 4 weeks a year. With all the changes that happened over the past 18 months, with Anna being out on sick leave and then with the election of a new Tax Collector, I was not able to plan vacation time until Heather had at least 6 months of working in the Motor Vehicle program. With scheduling my vacation time around the vacation/sick/training time of those that I cover for, it has been difficult to take 4 weeks before June 30.
I am writing to request that you consider deviating from policy and allowing me to get paid out for 1 week of vacation time (29 hours). I have 32 hours remaining un-used. Given the fact that we are already a week into June and the fact that there are 2 Fridays that Town Hall will be closed in the coming weeks, it could be quite burdensome to my co-workers if I had to take more time off.
Another option would be to roll over a weeks' worth of time, however, I do not want to continue to create a scheduling dilemma in the future.
You'll notice I have cc'd Dick in this email as we have discussed the matter and both feel as this is kind of a time sensitive matter. Your response would be appreciated. Thank you
Faith Plummer
