July 2026 Newsletter
As we move through the heart of summer, we’re sharing updates, reminders, and helpful resources that may be valuable to you. Thank you for your continued partnership, and we wish you a safe and enjoyable month ahead!
What Does It Mean If You Received This Postcard?
https://stratus.campaign-image.com/images/632104000010085003_zc_v1_1782874721390_updated_postcard.jpg
If you recently received our "Your Upload Folder Is Calling..." postcard, it's a friendly reminder that we're still waiting for documents needed to begin or continue your audit.
While the postcard is lighthearted, the message is important. Our audit schedule is carefully planned months in advance, and timely document submission is essential to keeping your engagement on schedule. Delays in receiving requested information can impact not only your audit timeline but also the scheduling of other client engagements throughout the year.
If you've already uploaded your files, thank you! If not, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible so we can move your audit forward without unnecessary delays.
If you need assistance accessing your secure upload folder, we are happy to help.
Tentative Onsite Dates: Why Are They Tentative?
Many of our clients have now received their tentative onsite audit dates. These dates are intended to help you plan ahead, but they remain tentative until we've received the requested documentation needed to complete our pre-audit work.
Our audit schedule is carefully coordinated months in advance, and timely document submission allows us to finalize schedules with confidence. When requested information is delayed, it can impact not only your engagement but also the scheduling of other audits throughout the season.
If you haven't already uploaded your requested documents, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Providing information promptly helps us confirm your onsite dates, keeps your audit on track, and allows our team to deliver the most efficient audit experience possible.
Manager Conversation Tip of the Month: Setting Expectations Early
One of the most common sources of workplace challenges is unclear or inconsistent expectations between managers and employees. When expectations are not clearly defined early, it can lead to misunderstandings around performance, communication, and accountability.
Taking time to set clear expectations at the start of an employment relationship, and revisiting them regularly, helps create a more productive and transparent working environment.
A few practical approaches include:
• Clearly define job responsibilities and success metrics during onboarding.
• Establish communication norms early, including response times, meeting cadence, and preferred communication channels.
• Address small concerns promptly rather than allowing them to escalate into larger performance issues.
• Document key conversations when expectations change or performance concerns are discussed.
• Schedule regular check-ins to ensure alignment between managers and employees.
Consistent, clear communication between managers and employees helps reduce confusion, improve performance outcomes, and build stronger working relationships over time.
IT Tip: Getting Around Safely on The web
When visiting a website you already know, it's safer to type the web address (URL) directly into your browser's address bar instead of searching for it on Google.
While search engines are convenient, the top result isn't always the legitimate website. Advertisements and malicious websites can sometimes appear above the official site, making it easier to accidentally click a fraudulent link.
For example, if you want to visit Amazon, type amazon.com directly into your browser rather than searching for "Amazon." This takes you straight to the official website and reduces the risk of landing on a fake or malicious page.
For websites you use regularly, such as your bank, payroll provider, or government agencies, consider bookmarking the official site in your browser. Using bookmarks or typing the URL directly is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself from phishing scams and fraudulent websites.
A few extra seconds can help keep your information secure.
