Good Afternoon John,

I have an assessing question for you today and perhaps Roger Hicks has already inquired about this.

Bear Hill Property Holdings, LLC with account # V0600P has outstanding personal property taxes due. The owner called to make a payment on his real estate taxes and was unaware of his personal property taxes. I dug into this account and have found tax bills for FY 26 and FY 25. The prior year, the same account # was with Viking Consulting & Caregiving, LLC, which makes sense given the fact that the account number starts with a V for Viking. In speaking with Tammy in Code Enforcement, Bear Hill Property Holdings bought the property in November of 2022. It is unclear to me when he moved his business and equipment to this location from his prior location in Buxton.

I have asked Roger Hicks, as the chair of the Select Board, to research this to determine if and how we would go about abating taxes that are reflected on account V0600P prior to Bear Hill Property Holdings owning this account. Could you please advise me and or Roger on how to address this matter.
