RE: Elected to Appointed

Correction –

The attorney has said the vote to separate from elected was all that was needed. He states no need for any ordinance requiring the Town to appoint…which makes some sense to me. If we had an ordinance naming appointed positions – we would be required to fill same as stated.

We are exploring what and how we should proceed -meaning do we want a treasurer or a Fiancne Director…. A Tax Collector or ?????

I have not been a fan of Ben lately – but – in this instance I think he may be correct

Hi Dick,

I was engaging with Nancy on the final draft of the ordinance and warrant article question(s).

Did you ever get clarification from lawyer Ben? Specifically, on the 2nd part of the 1st question - alluding to the selectboard appointing after the term has ended…

I want to make sure Roger is up to speed on this too.

Mike
