I don’t believe we have time to get this done before July 1 -though I am going to have the payroll company start the accrual –

So look it over -offer any questions and where the attorney has commented there may be responses. Once complete we will have Bennet do a final copy and that can be approved with a Special Town meeting scheduled (7-10 days notice needed) Thinking special town meeting either on meeting night in July – or – the week after (7/21-24)

So procedurally, if we all approve (in time) we could make this part of our next meeting because we have enough notice or do we need to make a motion at our next meeting to set a special town meeting?…. now typing it out, it’s probably the latter.

The attached is the legal edit and suggestions regarding the Paid Time Off ordinance that must be approved and then accepted through Special Town Meeting before enactment.

We were hoping to have this ready for a July 1 launch – but – that is questionable at this time.

As I mentioned earlier – the compilation/accrual and intent were approved in the June vote.. The changes on this document impact part-time and others who were previously not counted in the “time off” world. The State and Federal laws have changed that.

I suggest individual comments / questions directed to me to produce the final draft, a vote on the draft (public) and then 7-10 days later a scheduled Special Town Meeting to enact is in order.
