Greetings -
Not much to offer this week.
Mostly internal business - some you already know of - others were discussions around policies, software, Comp Plan, SMPD Fees and closing out Mary's end of term business.
Adjusted locks, email, keys etc. with the departure of Heather and Mary.
Had a couple of residents call looking for answers - Salmon Falls Bridge, roads, etc. Nothing too exciting.
The SB meeting was a hoot. Long, VERY long but leaving me with a few tasks that I will enjoy doing- Financial, planning, exploring and recommending.
I have been exchanging emails with Ron Smith so we can assess financial software, address the financial capacity gap and more. Working with Diane on some end of year tasks and she has agreed to enter the sub account allocations into the budget for tracking purposes and monitoring. I expect to have monthly end-of-month reports to monitor progress and then quarterly combined SB and Finance Committee meetings to share the status.
Anxious to explore funding the financial expert and advertising for that and the Tax Collector Deputy, getting election nomination papers out and then strategy for the future.
I am pleased to be at the end of this fiscal year. I hope you all will help me with completion of this transition by honoring the statute, ordinance and most of all the employees with our segregation of responsibility and authority.
I am looking for ward to the long weekend. Hope you all have a safe and pleasant one!
