Hi Heather,
Perhaps you could ask board members if anyone would like a new copy of an actual book. As you mentioned, I believe most people will prefer to use online resources as their primary source. However, if someone does want a copy, that would certainly be acceptable.

Can I have Ashley order a copy for each of the 5 current Board Members, or do you want me to ask whether Board Members use their current copy and want an updated one? Personally, I'm willing to forgo a copy because I prefer to look up state laws online, where I know I have the most recent version in hand. Let Ashley and I know if you want us to poll Board Members. The Maine Land Use Law Book is a 5x7 reference handbook including Maine State law relevant to land use planning, zoning, and local regulation. It is a great tool for planners, planning boards, and other municipal staff. This edition will be current through the last legislative session of the 132nd Legislature, which adjourned in April. We are excited to announce that preorders are now open. Note that the books have not yet gone to print, but this will help ensure we get enough to go around. We anticipate starting to ship books in July. Books are $20 each for SMPDC members, and $25 for non-members. Shipping costs will be added to your invoice, or you can opt to pick up the books at our office to avoid the shipping fee.
