I was hoping you would say exactly this… but I don’t want to “assign you” it.
I see most of these as day to day non sb duties and I think you “taking ownership” and delegating as required.

The exception I can think of off the top of my head is this building and related amenities. Beyond that the operational items should be landing in the TM office. Financial updates will be quarterly with the finance committee and whatever I can come up with weekly to share in general. It is equally challenging to slowly wean the employees from looking to the Board for direction. I know this is a BIG challenge. I have asked Ben to do an overview of duties and responsibilities for the Board in general – with focus on the new member of course. That is an approved Exec. Session (meeting the attorney) and should be done within the first couple weeks before the July 1 meeting date. It may be able to be accomplished as a zoom. All said – I was saddened that the list of items hit the day after Mary’s end of term. Some of what she listed needs to be delegated to the Assessor – John O’Donnel who we pay $50,000 a year for. There are a few other items she dropped on my desk this morning. That’s my 2 cents….while I still have a job 😊 Richard Morin Town Manager Town of Hollis, Maine From: Mike Harnois <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 10, 2026 2:42 PM To: Daniel Yarumian <[email protected]> Cc: Mary Hoffman <[email protected]>; Jrogala <[email protected]>; Roger Hicks <[email protected]>; Townmanager <[email protected]>; Adminsecretary <[email protected]>; Bradbury (PB) Danielle <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Various Items Echoing Dan’s sentiments! Well played on the crocs! Adding Danielle using her PB email for now. Unfortunately, this isn’t something I believe we can have an executive session about as it falls outside the reasons for exec session. However, there are some paths forward: - Brief open-session agenda item: Put “transition of outstanding select board assignments” as a 5-10 minute agenda item. - Email/individual conversations with the town manager: Have the town manager (not the board collectively) reassign or redistribute liaison roles, project ownership, etc. as an administrative matter - as this is operational, not a board decision requiring a meeting.
