Good afternoon I went down to look at plugging the hole where the bricks used to be in one of the two 6’ culverts that cross Bearhill Road. Both can be seen in the pictures below: the bottoms of both culverts are at the end of their lives.
The town should contact Sebago Technics or another engineering firm to evaluate them and give us some recommendations for repairing. Or replacing them. My issue is I didn't budget any money for engineering and the Towns service agreement with Sebago Technics has expired.
When the Town replaced the large culvert a few years ago on Muddy Brook rd. Sebago Technics did the plan, got DEP approval. Handeled the biding and inspections. They were also able to get us a $50,000 grant through the Dep.
How do I go about getting funds to have an engineering firm Look at these culverts and give us some recommations and what that may cost.
If I can get a budget number. Can we put an article on in November for the cost for engineers to review and make recommendations?
