"A Model Conversation for the Stage" This keynote will include a live, facilitated conversation on stage among people with differing views on a hot topic. We’re going to pick the topic AT the conference. Buckle up.

In addition to talking about how to have hard conversations, Craig Freshley plans to demonstrate what productive disagreement actually looks like—modeling curiosity, listening, respect, and skilled facilitation in real time.

As a result of this keynote, participants will take away practical tools such as actual words to say and things to do. Yet participants will also take away inspiration and courage to actually have hard conversations in civic settings among people who see things differently, perhaps way differently.

Before the Model Conversation Craig will remind us why good dialogue across differences is so critical. He will share principles and stories. After the Model Conversation, Craig will invite comment and draw out lessons learned.
